San Jose, CA, November 30, 2007 – DataSelf Corporation, a publisher of business intelligence solutions for the mid-market, has released a new version of DataSelf ETL that supports Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
“We’re satisfied now with Microsoft SQL Server 2005’s track record of stability and reliability” said DataSelf CEO Joni Girardi. “Sure, bleeding edge technology is exciting. But decision makers, the people we care about, aren’t so excited when they bleed.”
DataSelf prides itself on staying one step back from the edge and delivering proven and stable solutions to its clients.
With this release, DataSelf BI users can take advantage of several new features that add significant business benefits: faster reports, even more reporting flexibility, more comprehensive security, a broader range of key performance indicators and tighter integration with Microsoft products.
DataSelf’s “consultant in a box” — the tool’s comprehensive set of must-have business metrics — now comes with more than 550 reports and key performance indicators, a comprehensive data warehouse, and about 15 OLAP cubes pre-packaged to several mid-market ERP/CRM systems.
DataSelf actually improved on one Microsoft change. With SQL Server 2005’s greater power came more complexity. According to DataSelf’s benchmarking, some SQL 2005 jobs require more clicks than the previous version did. But DataSelf ETL, running on top, reduced the number of clicks by about 20% overall.
“We welcome the new features” said Girardi, “and we’re excited to take advantage of them.”
